The UCHS (United Church Home Society) founded the Senior Wishes program in late 2013. UCHS traces its roots back to 1877 when a dedicated group of six German churches formed the Church Home in Forks, New York to serve needy elders regardless of their financial or faith status.  As the need for space grew, the Church Home on Amherst street opened in it's first location in 1954, and provided a home like atmosphere to the elderly until closing in 2003.

The UCHS founded the United Church Manor in 1987.  Located in West Seneca, the Manor provides subsidized housing to the elderly and disabled in need under the HUD 202 program.  The Manor, located in a park-like setting, provides 12 studios and 37 one bedroom aparments.

The UCHS is also the founder of Western New York’s premier retirement community – Fox Run at Orchard Park. This Lifecare Retirement Community opened in 2007 on a 54 acre campus. Fox Run offers apartment/patio homes, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing services.
