Leonard Goes Fishing Again

Leonard, 81 and an Army Veteran, loves the water but hasn’t been able to fish or go on a boat in 20 years. His wish was to one more time hold a fishing pole in his hand while he felt the lake breezes on his face. His son Todd joined him on a boat provided by the Excalibur Leisure Skills Center. They shared their fishing memories of long ago. After the boat ride, Senior Wishes volunteer Cheryl Schmidt arranged for them to have lunch at Charlie’s Boat Yard. A very special day was enjoyed by all!
